BBC on Syria

It has become quite amusing to listen to the BBC on Syria.  Today, I listened too an interview with the otherwise able, Jim Muir (who is--we are reminded daily--"monitoring developments in Syria from Beirut" just as I monitor developments in North Korea from Modesto, California).  He reported the murder of a very well-known Syrian activist leader but then timidly added that he had never heard of him.  And on whether there are chances of success for the UN mission in Syria, he cited the authority of the well-known political analyst/scholar, the Emir of Qatar himself. I kid you not.
